Following on from his first book, Returning to Reims, The Life Old Age and Death of a Working Class Woman follows the author’s relationship with his mother from childhood to her death. The brief for this cover was abstract and required me to convey an emotion instead of an image. The image on the left was the chosen cover for print, whilst the right is my favourite amongst my original design concepts.
